Oh, Richard, your last line made me laugh. Because I was thinking the same thing. lolz. Then what do you do if you strike it rich? Give it away? I doubt it. Do you then start looking for the places to live where you don’t have to pay taxes? Maybe that part won’t matter if you made the money, prior. I’m not knocking her, by any means. I’m not knocking the ultra rich but some of them DO do bad things with their money, like try and control the world. And, I think they DO become out of touch and think they did great if they left the barista a $50 dollar tip (which she liked because $50 to someone struggling is a lot).

I’m not ultra rich in money, per se, but I am rich in many ways, and to some places and people in the world, I AM ultra rich. It is a matter of perspective. The rich need our money to remain rich because they need to sell their wares to someone, and if we are too poor to buy their widgits, then their money disappears, too. It behooves them to be thinking of the welfare of those with less. Some get rich off the poor. I am very unhappy that the middle class is dwindling, because I thought it was a great place to live. And, The rich CAN keep people employed, and they CAN create businesses that raise up a community, though, we are all watching, nation-wide many of those businesses being destroyed by angry anarchists and other hurting people who just don’t get they have shot themselves in the feet, yes, both feet.

We think they don’t pay taxes, but I can’t believe that’s wholly true. I knew a person many years ago whose father was a business man in a Scandinavian country, I believe, and he did so well he was rich, in spite of paying 85% in taxes. I know I don’t pay that in taxes, no where near, because I still get a return every year.

You also don’t know when your boat will come in. I say that not because I have some great invention that I think will save the world, but I COULD fall in love with that guy dressed in jeans in the coffee shop and NOT know he was rich. I mean, who goes to a coffee shop in an Armani suit? I truly have heard of that happening to some women, though, finding a rich man and they didn’t know it until later. But, the two fell in love and you don’t know who you will fall in love with because chemistry is like that. But, in an earlier article I just read about narcissistics, psychopaths and sociopaths, ahh, never mind — it could go either way.

The rich are probably rich not because they won the power ball but because they know the energy of money. We don’t hear of their fails, first, either. Or, they struck oil on their land, black gold, like the Beverly Hillbillies; loved that show. Life is more about what you do with your wealth, and how you lift people up, and you don’t have to be rich to lift others up (or down). It can be taken away, just as easy, if God wants to shift the wealth, or a super nova changes all the gold into lead. If Jesus was able to turn water into wine, He can just as easily turn wine into water.
