Day 183: Lamentations, a very sad book.
This is a book about Babylon totally destroying Jerusalem for two and a half years, causing starvation, cannibalism (mothers eating their children), thirst, and such broken heartedness, that they can’t even find one piece of joy, anymore.
It started with the mistake of the last king, Zedekiah. He refused to send their taxes to the king of Babylon, a repeat offense. King Nebuchadnezzar has had it with them and destroyed everything of any value that the Jewish people had, including the people. Children were dead in the streets, humans piled up like wood. Jerusalem, God’s city where His Holy Temple was built by King Solomon. But, the sins of the people were so insidious, God allowed for the destruction of it all, though not everyone lay dead. He allowed for some to live, and He would eventually rebuild their nation.
This has happened more than once to the Jews. It always happens when they stop listening and following God. They get it for awhile, but then they return to evil ways. It never works, but their memories seem to forget. Even when they were given prophets to remind them, to tell them to stop their evil ways, to turn back to God and not listen to false prophets. They don’t want to do it, and then they suffer again, and then they cry out to God to stop and love them again.
We are doing that to our world, right now. There is so much evil happening especially in the human trafficking of children that has been going on for decades, and Hollywood in America is full of it, though it is worldwide. What is going on is Satanic, and there has been so much diversion created between us, that if we don’t come together and start using love to overcome this evil, we will also be destroyed. Children are being tortured, body parts sold, passed around like ‘candy’, sacrificed on Satan’s alter, and tossed like trashed once they have been used up, literally. No remorse, because psychopaths don’t have remorse.
Prayer Warriors — we need you more than ever, right now. We need to find ways to spread love, not hate. We need to stop this fear-mongering that is distracting us; race, riots, masks, false saviors who created the problem and have our ‘solution’. Love is our solution. Loving your children, treating people with respect, protecting each other, not pitting us against each other. Exposing the lies that we are told so that we don’t see the trafficking that is paramount around us.
Please, look into your own hearts. I know my own anger at things gets in the way. Everyday I have to check myself, having let my emotions lead me in the wrong ways, going back and making apologies to not only people I have hurt, but apologize to God for not letting Him do His work and then feel anger because He didn’t, in my perception. It is not easy because our stress levels are very high, right now. Uncertainties about work, money, getting together, having rules imposed on us told that it is for our own good. We get angry by the confusion we are in. And, we stop functioning in love, the only thing that can turn us around.
Lamentations 5:21 “Turn Thou us unto Thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.”
