Day 188; Response to the degrading of Sarah.
This was, indeed, a sad story and my heart goes out to Sarah. I can also understand what Craig is trying to say, and I say that simply as a woman, and one who was molested by a relative at age four - it never leaves you.
I will add to the humiliation that 'freak' shows (as they were called, at least when I was a child) at my local state fair DID have a 'fat lady' who was very white, and my guesstimate was over 4–500 pounds. There were others, in varying physical abnormalities, both men and women, and they happened to be all white, but maybe that was just my era and time. So, yes, things can be degrading to many people, depending on the culture, century, and all sorts of reasons. The fact that many need to see and display this, is unspeakable, but here we speak...
It also seems to me that it is black men that are degrading women in their rap music - if you can call it music, calling them 'ho', ‘bitch’ and other derogatory names. It seems that a large ‘bottom’ these days are sought after and that women are getting transplants to increase their size, so I really don't understand.. If I remember correctly in the movie White Chicks, a main character commented about these black men dressed as white chicks that they were “white women with a black ass’, so this shit happens everywhere, and in current times.
But, the fact that they made Sarah perform as an animal is just plain disgusting, and her perpetrators are probably burning in hell for eternity, unless somewhere in their lives they repented, which only God could decide their fate.
Because of the degrading subject matter here, I want to just share that in watching a podcast/video of an interview with Anneke Lucas, a white girl who was sold as a sex slave at age six (by her mother), and was miraculously released many years later after suffering much abuse and torture (I don't know at what age but she is 57, now). The degradation child sex slaves suffer and the trafficking of many children, and the abuse, torture, killing, Satanic rituals, organ harvesting and were also put on stage to be humiliated by rich adult elitists, is something we need to be vigilant about now. It is very real, and it is happening in horrendous numbers. Let's all focus on stopping that, now. Multi billion dollar industry. We can’t change what happened to Sarah, but we can make a difference in speaking up to what is happening today.
