I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A CHALLENGE TO WRITE SOMETHING FOR 365 DAYS.

Today’s date; January 28, 2020. My first writing is to be about my origins for going into the new work I am focusing on. Please bear with me, but this exercise is to find my voice. My mentor is Russell Brunson, CEO of Clickfunnels, and I am a funnel hacker. I am learning SOOO much…

My Epiphany — why I am doing what I’m doing and why I believe it will bring me to a much happier place in my vocation and life.

For over 30 years I have been a Healer in alternative style medicines. They have included massage, foot reflexology, acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, esthetician, private homecare, and I’ve incorporated advanced technologies into my practice, such as cold laser, PEMF therapies, microcurrent, and have added coaching to aid my clients in transformations in health and wellness. I have had to reinvent myself many times because of circumstances that have made life changes to my household. I am working in a job I love for someone else, but things have changed for me there in a way that has made me understand I’m in a dead end position, if I stay. I can’t use nearly most of my skills (though I have been coaching my clients, anyhow).

I am in my 60s, there has been over the past couple of years, what appears to me to be an ageism issue developing there. I won’t tolerate that, because I think I still have a good 15–20 years of work in me. I just have to transform how I do it. Some things about this change had made me sad when I realized that my loyalty to this place was dissed — a tactic to discourage me into early retirement. Because I am such a high end worker, never calling in sick or missing a day, they would have brought problems upon themselves by letting me go; hence, ageism. So, I sought out others to help me shift to my higher goal.

I have always had a small private practice offering any of my skills. Wherever you spend the most time, that is where you will build. Some of my work has taken me outside of my private practice, so I built clientele elsewhere, and some of that created a “no compete” issue for me, even though we could overlap clients, anyhow. Too complicated to explain, here. This current job limits me because I can only use one of my modalities — I used to offer two, but they banned me from one of them (to discourage me…).

I think it might have been a Facebook ad, but I came across a coach who offered a 90 minute class on how to create online courses. I watched it and became excited. I have attended online courses before, and I have always wondered how they did it, and how they offered upsells, and how they created ebooks. I joined her group that night. In her group, I found Clickfunnels. Now, I understand more. I listened to their webinar and understood a little bit more. I joined up with them, as well. Ok, but prior to them, and in my quest to see how to launch another aspect of my business — retail skincare — I entered into my soap mentor’s course, which starts in March. WOW! I feel like I am in several Master classes! My brain is on fire!

I have made the decision to peek into the first group’s Facebook group of which I am a part, but I cannot do both courses at once. So, I made a choice to do CF first, and pay attention to the other group until I can get there. But, I’m loving it all! Why? Because I am able to use ALL my skills and experiences and put them into places that can help a whole lot of people at once. Yes, I do one on one still, but the power of the internet has given me so many more options. I no longer not only feel in a dead end position, I feel like I have been given a trip around the world! I still have lots to learn, like technology software, but I think I have many good people around me I can hire. I am in the (slow) process of creating my first ebook, which I will call “The Secret to Being Beautiful”. I have my ecover page photo, and my Cover Action Pro and Adobe Photoshop CC to get me there. I joined up with Learn Dash and have a friend coming this weekend to help me get that set up so I have a place to launch my first online course. I signed on to create a Podcast, too, so these writings may just go into that, as well. I call it “The Ever Evolving You Blueprint”.

There are no limitations as long as people keep thinking and creating. I’ve always looked for smarter people than me, and then I watch them and grow. I would like to leave you with a Bible quote, one of my inspirations to continue moving forward. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 Without hope, most don’t make it.

“May I offer you greater awareness and encouragement as you seek new and healthier ways.” Mary EK Denison
